Mahjong Duel is a local turn-based pair challenge built from the same open-tile logic as Mahjong Solitaire. Both seats see the same 96-tile layout. A valid turn removes one matching open pair, then control passes to the other seat.

How a duel is decided

Each seat receives 24 pair turns and a separate four-minute clock. A Hint may be used twice, but each use adds 15 seconds to that player’s adjusted result. The lower adjusted solving time wins after all 48 pairs are cleared.

The computer opponent is clearly labelled

This version is an offline practice cafe. After two seconds without a connected human service, a named local computer player takes the opposite seat. Its move choices run in your browser and do not call a paid model or pretend to be a real online player.
